The engine has lots of power, good compression and 4% leak down throughout all 6 cylinders. My favorite part is that the matching number 901 transmission was retained in this build. A dogleg shifter is essential in a rs clone build.The transmission was rebuilt and 2,3 and 4th short gears were installed. Paired with the 3.0 engine this car is literally a rocket when you take off. New clutch, throw out bearing, new flywheel and pressure plate was installed.
Rebuilt brake system and upgraded.Aluminum S brake calipers and vented front rotors. New brake lines throughout.Re-valved to rs spec Bilstein shocks front and rear.Elephant racing torsion bars 22 front and 29 in the rear.Front through body sway bar.Old steel trailing arms were replaced with aluminum SC trailing arms. Rebuilt rear sc brake calipers with drilled rear rotors.Custom adapted rear sway bar to clear the 901 transmission mount. New elephant racing reinforced rear sway bar mounts.Relocated fuel pump in the smugglers box.
16×7/8 with new Falken Ziex tires 205’s in the front and 225’s in the rear. Very nice grip and road comfort.
