Hotrod 1970 Volvo P1800 with 175K on the odometer in Acrylic Black Paint (Original Color Code : 42, California White)

  • Manual 4 speed transmission with over drive in good working order.
  • Although the car has Minnesota license plates it was Waynes personal car which was in California for over 20 years. Wayne is the owner of Volvos Only, a shop which specializes in maintenance, modifications, and restoration.
  • Good repaint in non original Acrylic Black Paint with some blemishes, waves (7.5/10). Decent gaps. Chrome trim is okay, but not perfect. A few dents that need to be messaged (roof, hood). Undercarriage is original and rust free.
  • The engine was bored out up to 2300cc’s with cams, a 3 core aluminum radiator, sway bar and drop links. For a P1800 its really fast!!–
  • The original wheels were widened to put more beefier tires..!
  • It also has a rebuilt transmission, new optima battery, new bushings, ball joints and 73ES touring seats. This is the perfect GT spec car for spirited long distance drives. He installed a later model Volvo power steering and it works great!
What could be done to make it better?
There is a few trim pieces that come with the car which are not currently installed (interior). The suspension is okay, but could use some fine tuning to make the car more balanced around big bumps. New set of tires, and new brake pads in the rear / tighten the hand brake.

1966 Ford Mustang

Technik : The car starts up easy, runs, drives nice. It has a manual choke just in case it is really cold outside, and you need some assistance.
The engine was removed from the car, acid dipped, and pressure washed. Afterward the the block barrels were honed 40 millimeter over with a new set of pistons, and cylinders. The head was machined, balanced, and blue printed. To give her even more performance we added an Edelbrock intake manifold with a 650 Edelbrock Performer 4 barrel carburetor. It revs up easy, and smooth.
It is safe to say she has got very good power. The wiring was completely redone by the original wiring diagram. Everything works. The radiator was flushed, and pressure tested. We installed a modern AC unit with a new AC condensor in front of the radiator. The power steering, and original drum brakes work perfect. The car is sitting on new 15×6 Rally wheels with new BF Goodridge tires. All running belts were replaced, all fluids were replaced, new shocks all the way around.
Exterior : Paint job is beautiful..! The car never had accidents, therefore all the body panels line up good. The paint job is recent, and has a nice luster, shine to it. I would rate it a 9/10 just because there are a few imperfections here, there. The undercarriage of the car is honest, and completely rust free. There is no evidence of any previous repairs or panels replacements. The front grill has been replaced with a GT styled grill with amber fog lights which have been wired, and routed just like the original would be. Also, we had installed a rear diffuser with the exhaust outlets, another GT style que.
Interior : The headliner, carpet, door panels, dash, package tray, floor mats, front and rear seats, chrome bezels are new. We had also replaced the front windshield including new rubbers. The front bench seat is an option, and it is quite a rare option.
History : The car came from 1 owner. It was actually sitting in his drive way since 1989 until we had discovered it, and towed it away on 4 flat tires. It comes with the original pink slip, license plates, jack, spare, and WINDOW STICKER..!
