1991 BMW 850i 5/20/2018

In 1981 BMW began developing a car that would move beyond the 6 series market. This new car would have substantially improved performance as well as a higher price!

In early September of 1989 the 8 Series made a debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show. Over 1.5 Billion Deutsche Marks were spent on total development. Equivalent to nearly 1.2 Billion dollars considering current inflation rates.

The ultimate Grand Touring car. BMW 8 Series. They had two version. One, powered by a V8 (840) and the other V12 (850)..!

BMW pulled the 8 series from the North American market in 1997, having only sold 7,232 cars over 7 years. The ultimate worldwide production total was 31,062. The base starting price started in the $70,000 range which is approximately $130,000+ today.

We are offering a very good looking, driving 1991 BMW 850i example with the V12 engine, 173k miles. The engine runs extremely smooth, and the suspension is very tight. According to the previous owner the transmission was rebuilt along with various suspension bushings and you can definitely feel it. The air conditioning system has just been converted from R12 to R134 and blows ice cold.

The car came in a less commonly seen metallic silver on navy blue color option with heated seats and automatic transmission. It looks good in and out, although we are currently in the process of having the original front leather seats dyed to look like new.

It has been fitted with the E32 wheels which are highly desirable.

This is a great opportunity to purchase the next up and coming super car.

It comes with a clean California title, books, manuals, misc. receipts.
