Collectable Condition 1966 Ford Mustang

1966 Ford Mustang in Collectable Condition

The particular Mustang came out of the San Jose factory in Candyapple Red with a 289 V8 2v engine with a C4 automatic transmission. Some of the options included power steering, and center shifter console.

It was purchased, and owned by an elderly woman who lived in Santa Barbara until she had sold it in August 2013 to a mature enthusiast. The car currently has only 57k documented original miles.

There are no signs of major accidents, or rust anywhere. All body panels align really well with near perfect gaps.

The car first up, and putters along effortlessly. The engine has really good, smooth power delivery and the power steering is configured just as it should. One finger turning. Even the drum brakes will surprise you.

The paint job is old, though it looks near immaculate. I would rate it a 9/10. Interior is partly original, still.

The car comes with the original window sticker, sales receipt 4×4 pink slip from the original owner, photo of original owner, manual VIN specific to this car (not a replacement), SEND HELP / NEED GAS banner, warranty cards, receipts and maintenance proving true mileage, original keys and extras, spare, and front cowl magnetic strip to cover from rain,

This is one of the best Mustangs I have ever come across and I’ve had my share.

Negatives : The passenger door has a few tiny bubbles, there is a little paint chip on the passenger front fender, on the edge (top of doors) there is some primer showing (small) after many previous polish / wax jobs, transmission might need a mount bushing.
